I am a third-year Ph.D. Student at Monash University, Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. I have obtained my Bachelor's degree in Public Health from the University of Gondar and a Master’s degree in Epidemiology from Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. I was working as a Lecturer in the School of Medicine at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. I am interested in Clinical Epidemiology (development and validation of risk prediction models). I have a research interest in communicable and non-communicable diseases in maternal and child health. I have research experience in quantitative studies and published more than 23 articles in several leading journals, such as PLOS One, BMC Public Health, Journal of Multidisciplinary Health Care, and BMC Pregnancy Childbirth. Currently, I am working on risk prediction studies related to diabetes and gestational diabetes.
