Deanne Minniecon is a proud Gooreng Gooreng and Erub woman and Group Executive for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement at Diabetes Australia. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at QUT, and serves on the West Moreton Health Board and Darling Downs & West Moreton PHN. With over 30 years’ experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and education, Deanne has worked across community-controlled health services, universities, government, and the non-government sector. She holds a Master of Health Science (Health Promotion) and was awarded an NHMRC Training Scholarship for Aboriginal Health Research.
